Call for Thesis Projects

Our first RTG2906 Curiosity Summerschool is taking place in wonderful Göttingen this July! Check out the program: https://events.gwdg.de/event/1382/

We are currently seeking motivated Bachelor's and Master's students to join an interdisciplinary and international research project investigating the neural correlates of curiosity and its effects on learning and memory.

The project combines cutting-edge methods, including mobile EEG, virtual reality (VR), and full-body motion capture, to study how curiosity influences decision-making, behavior, and memory formation in naturalistic settings.

We offer thesis projects in several areas, including:

-Experimental data collection and analysis using EEG, VR, and motion-capture technologies
- Computational modeling and machine learning, including reinforcement learning approaches to integrate neural, behavioral, and kinematic data
- Investigation of the relationships between brain activity, full-body movement, decision-making, and memory performance

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced neuroscience methods while contributing to an exciting international research collaboration.

If you are interested, please contact us with a brief description of your background (ideally CV) and research interests.
